Note: You must be licensed (or pending admission) with the California State Bar able to work on-site full-time in Glendale and genuinely interested in plaintiff-side employment wage-and-hour and consumer class action litigation. Occasional travel within California is required. Job Description Work as a litigation associate on employment wage-and-hour and consumer class and representative actions throughout CaliforniaAssist with drafting complaints motions briefs discovery requests and responses and other litigation documentsHandle and support discovery including written discovery document review and preparation for depositionsParticipate in law and motion practice oral advocacy and court appearances as opportunities ariseConduct legal research on statutes regulations and case law and prepare clear concise analyses for supervising attorneysCollaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to manage a high-volume docket in both state and federal courtsCommunicate with clients co-counsel and opposing counsel to move cases forward in a timely and professional mannerSupport trial preparation and special litigation projects as needed Qualifications Licensed to practice law in California (or awaiting CA Bar results/admission with strong credentials)02 years of civil litigation experience; experience with employment wage-and-hour or class actions is a plus but not requiredExposure to discovery motion practice oral advocacy or depositions during law school clerkships or prior roles is preferredStrong legal research writing and analytical skills with attention to detail and deadlinesPositive team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in representing employees and consumersAbility to travel occasionally within California for hearings depositions and case-related needs Why Youll Love Working Here Youll build a high-value litigation toolkit early in your career working on sophisticated plaintiff-side class and representative actionsYoull join a mission-driven growth-oriented firm that invests in training courses and continuing education for its associatesYoull receive competitive first-year compensation ($130000$150000) plus medical dental vision 401(k) PTO and bonus potential in a supportive collegial environment JPC-491 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceRequirements: Must have CA bar.
