Fitter Welder at Ace Iron & Steel Corp.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ace Iron & Steel Corp. is seeking an experienced Fitter/ Welder to join our team in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Follow drawings to fit various structural members (beams, columns, girts, etc.)
- Utilize company provided equipment, tools, and machines to assemble steel members.
- Weld steel assemblies.
- Operate plasma table, overhead cranes, and beam processing line.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with company safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in steel fabrication is desired.
- High School Diploma.
- State Certified Welder is desired. Testing may be required, and will be provided by the company upon hire.
- Proficiency in MIG welding.
- Ability to use welding equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
