Fleet CoordinatorPosting SummaryTransportation and Parking Services at the University of Vermont is recruiting a full-time Fleet Coordinator. Our Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for managing the electric vehicle infrastructure, operating a shared fleet, and purchasing university vehicles. This team member will support the department's goal to provide safe, sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective services to students, staff, faculty and visitors to campus.The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain systems and workflows for three key objectives:Manage the university electric vehicle charging system Manage station maintenance Analyze charging station data Make recommendations for rate and billing structure changesImplement changes authorized by department leadershipDevelop a centralized shared fleet systemDevelop and maintain reservation, billing, and key access systems Inspect and document vehicles pre-and post-trip Verify driver's certification statuses Hire, train, & supervise student employee team to assist with shared fleet goals Centralize and standardize light- and medium-duty vehicle purchasing and "UVM vehicle onboarding" for 30+ departments Standardize vehicle options and replacement Manage fleet budget, leverage funding opportunities to minimize costs, and identify opportunities for improvements Expectations of the role include: Excellent customer service Advocate for and support Comprehensive Sustainability goals Work closely with Automotive Repair shop staff to maximize efficiencies Engage in learning opportunities to stay knowledgeable of industry standards Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Logistics, Facilities Management, or a related field. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and regulatory compliance. Must have a valid U.S. driver license and the ability to be certified to operate UVM vehicles. Effective customer service, communication, organization and analytical skills required.
