DescriptionThis is a temporary position. Hybrid 1-3 days in officeSenior Software Engineer - Salesforce Service CloudMarriott International is seeking a Senior Service Cloud Engineer to lead ongoing support for both new and existing Salesforce Service and Sales Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer with a proven track record of implementing Salesforce Service Cloud integrating them into large enterprise solutions. This engineer will serve as a service delivery and sales subject matter expert contributing to technical design development and testing while collaborating with various partners and service providers. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for thriving in a highly matrixed environment alongside the required Salesforce Service Cloud technical expertise. The candidate should be flexible and must be an engaging team player.RequirementsLeverage Salesforce Service expertise to act as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineerMust not be afraid to ask questions or adverse to being asked questions; willing to share experiences and explain alternative solutionsDeliver technical solutions with focus on security authentication scalability and performanceAbility to work independently or on a teamMake informed decisions on architectural design considering tradeoffs benefits and recommendationsProvides consultation for routine and complex systems developmentCoordinates with Operations and Infrastructure Delivery teams for deployment and production support activitiesCollaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutionsServe as lead Salesforce developer ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards and coaching and mentoring team membersStrong communication and collaboration skills within a team environmentAbility to work in an Enterprise Agile/Transitioning development environmentReview and approve design documents code reviews test plans and deployment plansEducation and Experience RequiredBachelors degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience and/or certification6 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security standard objects reports/dashboards Knowledge data management and sandbox environmentsMinimum 3-5 years of experience with consuming web services1-2 years of experience Lightning framework (Aura LWC)Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger frameworkTechnical Requirements:Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g. Java and Apex)Solid understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript CSS HTML5 XML JSON and/or AjaxProficiency in integrating Salesforce with other applications using Connected Apps and APIsStrong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile SCRUM other)Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger frameworkExpertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g. Java and Apex)Other QualificationsAn unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative developmentSalesforce developer/architect/admin certifications including Salesforce Einstein certifications are plusesExperience in development of hotel property applicationsLeadership experience in a sourced environmentAt Marriott International we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
