DescriptionThis is a temporary position.JOB SUMMARYAs a member of the Digital Merchandising team the Manager Digital Merchandising Technology will be responsible for managing the technological infrastructure platforms and solutions that enable digital merchandising initiatives within the Digital & Marketing organization. This individual will bridge the gap between merchandising teams analytics and content management platforms ensuring that digital product displays tagging and customer experiences are optimized across all digital channelssuch as e-commerce websites mobile apps and on-property digital touchpoints.The Manager will partner closely with a cross-functional group of stakeholders across the company across Digital Product Marketing AnalyticsTechnology teams and Vendors. This role is global in scope and also interfaces with Marriotts global regions (Americas Europe Middle East & Africa Asia Pacific China Caribbean & Latin America).CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired:Bachelors degree in Business Marketing and Information Technology or a related field35 years of experience in e-commerce digital merchandising technology analyst or digital data analyst rolesStrong proficiency in marketing tech platforms and data analysis tools (Excel Adobe Analytics Adobe Target AEM Tableau)Experience with digital merchandising platforms (Adobe Workfront Smartsheet JIRA)Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutionsBasic technical troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and project management skillsExperience with digital asset management and content syndication tools (Adobe Target AEM Adobe Cloud)Detail-oriented proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentGlobal mindset and familiarity with UX/UI principles and digital marketing fundamentalsPreferred:Experience with tag management systemsUnderstanding of data layer architecture and event trackingRetail merchandising analytical skillsCORE WORK ACTIVITIESMaintain and coordinate technology roadmaps to enable merchandising goals including platform updates and upgrade.Implement and maintain tagging frameworks for merchandising initiatives to ensure accurate data capture and reportingOrganize the configuration and ongoing management of digital merchandising software and tools including product information management and orchestration systemsManage the configuration maintenance and optimization of merchandising platforms (Workfront DAM etc.)Partner with technology and analytics teams to define and validate data capture requirementsConduct QA testing for merchandising-related tags and content renderingUtilize analytics tools to monitor product performance and provide actionable insights to digital product teamsIdentify opportunities to automate merchandising workflows (campaign calendaring content approvals tagging) using technology solutionsManage relationships with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and support of merchandising toolsMaintain metadata standards and taxonomy for digital assetsProvide training and support to merchandising teams on new technologies and best practicesSupport A/B tests and supply digital merchandising requirements in collaboration with the Director Digital Merchandising OrchestrationMANAGEMENT COMPETENCIESLeadership Communication - Conveys information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods.
