Job Title: Part-Time Floating Pharmacist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (no evenings, weekends, or major holidays)

Location: Independent Rural Community Pharmacy (Sumner, Strawberry Point, and Elkader IA)

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Floating Pharmacist who is passionate about community pharmacy and enjoys building relationships with patients. This position offers predictable weekday hours, strong technician support, and the ability to spend quality time with those we serve. You will help ensure seamless patient care while covering scheduled pharmacist time off.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exceptional patient counseling, education, and medication therapy recommendations

• Verify prescriptions accurately and safely with the support of a skilled technician team

• Participate in clinical services including immunizations, point-of-care testing, MTM, and more

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies

• Contribute to a positive, efficient workflow that prioritizes patient care

What You’ll Bring

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent

• Active pharmacist license in good standing (State: ___)

• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to engage with patients

• Ability to adapt to various workflow needs and pharmacy settings

• Interest in delivering high-quality pharmacy services without the rush of retail chains
