Shiraz has been recognized with a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, a “Very Good” review from The New York Times, and a 2024 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.We are growing and looking for a hands‑on Floor Manager or AGM to lead service and elevate the guest experience at our Chelsea location.Position SummaryThe Floor Manager is a working leader on the dining room floor. This role is responsible for executing smooth services, supporting and coaching the FOH team, and ensuring every guest feels the warmth of Persian hospitality. You will work closely with the Owner, Operations Manager, and Beverage Director to bring our standards, stories, and wine program to life every night.ResponsibilitiesLead the floor during service: manage the flow of seating, pacing of courses, and quality of guest interactions.Act as the primary point of contact for guest issues, special requests, and VIPs.Run pre‑shift lineups: review covers, specials, 86’d items, wine features, and service priorities for the night.Support and coach servers, bartenders, and hosts on standards, upselling, and hospitality.Ensure menus (food, wine, cocktails) are accurate, printed, and clean before each shift.Oversee opening and closing procedures, side work, and overall cleanliness of the dining room and bar.Monitor tickets and pacing with the kitchen; communicate clearly between FOH and BOH.Handle basic administrative tasks during shifts: comps/voids, check adjustments, guest notes, incident reports.Support the execution of special menus (pre‑theater, date‑night, wine flights) and small private events.Help monitor and encourage wine sales by reinforcing simple selling scripts and pairings with the team.Represent the Shiraz brand and culture on the floor at all times.Qualifications2+ years of restaurant management or floor leadership experience in an upscale or high‑volume environment.Strong floor presence: calm, professional, confident with both guests and staff.Proven ability to lead and train FOH teams.Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.Working knowledge of wine and cocktails; interest in learning more about our wine program.Experience with reservation and POS systems (Resy/OpenTable and modern POS strongly preferred).Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Eligible to work in the United States.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience.Opportunity for performance‑based bonuses.Shift meals.Growth potential with a growing multi‑unit brand and a serious wine program.How to Apply:Please apply through Culinary Agents with your resume and a brief note about why you are a good fit for Shiraz Chelsea.
