Job Description

Job Title: Fluid Milk Production OperatorJob Summary:The Fluid Milk Production Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining press equipment used in milk and dairy product processing. This role ensures the efficient and sanitary production of milk products by adhering to all safety quality and operational standards. The operator monitors equipment performance manages production flows and supports overall dairy processing operations. Key Responsibilities:Operate Fluid milk machinery and related equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Set up and adjust machinery to ensure proper function during production runs.Monitor equipment and product quality during operation; make adjustments as needed.Perform routine checks for product consistency temperature and flow rates.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work area in compliance with food safety standards (e.g. FSMA GMP).Set up/tear down and daily sanitation of tanks.Follow all legal standards set by the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) for the production and processing of Grade A milk. Complete production records batch logs and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Report equipment malfunctions safety hazards or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs on press equipment.Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.Support other production areas as needed to maintain workflow and productivity.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Prior experience in a dairy food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (FSMA GMP).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physically able to lift 50 lbs stand for extended periods and work in cold/wet environments.Preferred Skills:Experience with pasteurization equipment.Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.Forklift experience desired.Work Schedule & Conditions:Hours: Midnight to approximately NoonWork Days: Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday (No Wednesday Weekends Off)Must be available for overtime as requiredStanding for long periods; working in wet cold or hot conditions may be requiredExposure to cold temperatures noise and wet conditions typical of dairy production facilities.Fast-paced environment with strict hygiene and quality controlsBenefits:Competitive payMedical insurance (After 60 days)Dental and vision insurance offered (After 90 days)Vacation/Sick time issued at the beginning of each calendar year401k Retirement offered day one/company match after 6 months Summary:The legacy of Toft Dairy is a story of commitment to quality and forward-thinking principles.
