Pay Rate: $14.25/hourESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Rotate weekly through all of our Food and Beverage Outlets to develop a comprehensive understanding of varied service environments. Perform day-to-day tasks to support assigned Food and Beverage Outlet. This will include administrative tasks as well as hands on, operational duties. Complete special projects to support assigned area with meeting business needs while satisfying internship requirements. Work various special events, including parades, concerts, fairs and Island Impact events to assist with property needs and community outreach. Uphold operational standards and instill team coordination in a high-volume service environment. Work 3 - 5 special events, including parades, concerts, fairs and festivals to assist with property needs. Specific duties for each intern may vary and are intended to provide a well-rounded perspective to satisfy internship requirements. KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge and Certification Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience Current enrollment in 2 or 4-year post-secondary educational program pursing a degree in a hospitality or related degree program Preferred: Previous guest service experience Previous experience in a high volume Food and Beverage operation Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Abilities Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to manage projects in a timely and efficient manner Ability to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional manner Ability to serve both internal and external customers REQUIRED TRAINING Treasure Island guest service training Any position-related training as determined by division director PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods throughout the day Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel and stoop Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work may be performed throughout the property (indoors and outdoors) including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals High volume direct public contact
