Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWho We Are: Grab-N-GeauxAFTER MASTERING THE GAS STATION AND CONVENIENCE STORE BUSINESS IN TEXAS AND PERFECTING THEIR FAMOUS BBQ, OUR FOUNDERS MOVED TO LAKE CHARLES TO BRING THEIR SPECIAL SAUCE TO SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA AND BEYOND.What We Are Looking For: Food Service Associate (Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Gillis, Lacassine, Duson, Lafayette, Scott, Broussard, Carencro)Our growing company is looking for dynamic Kitchen Workers. A Kitchen Worker plans, prepares, and cooks all Grab-N-Geaux food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for guests. They help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and following food storage procedures. A Kitchen Worker follows recipes consistently, adjust based on customer requests, communicate with staff and control the quality of all food items. You will be responsible for serving each guest courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude.Responsibilities of a Food Service Associate:Welcome all guests with “Welcome to Grab-N-Geaux”Learn preparation for all menu items in accordance with Grab-N-Geaux quality standardsAssists guests with orders by answering menu and recipe related questionsCleans/sanitizes work area, wash carts, cleans pots, and pans, and cleans cooking equipment throughout the shift and at the end of the shiftPrepares food as directed by daily spread sheetMaintains a clean as you go work environmentWork as a team to meet store goalsMaintains food levels in hot box according to guest flowMaintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with the Health Department guidelinesExecute opening and closing proceduresSet up workstations with required ingredients and equipmentCheck the quality and freshness of ingredients throughout the shiftAccommodate guests as your priorityRecord food waste on daily waste logAll employees may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as neededQualifications of a Food Service Associate:Must be 18 years or olderHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience requiredPrevious food handling experience preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredPrevious cash handling experience preferredBasic math and counting skills required (add, subtract, multiply and divide)Demonstrate communication skills, both written and verbalRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, of up to 30-40 lbs.Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of timeMust be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evening, weekends, or holidaysComplete the Louisiana Vendor Permit Card (Bar Card) before start dateMust have reliable transportation to and from the store’s locationJob Type: Full-timePay: $10-$11Benefits:35% Employee discount [only while clocked in]Paid time off [after 1 year of an average of 35 or more hours]Experience level:1-2 yearsShift:8 hour shiftWeekly day range:Monday-SundayWeekend availabilityWork Location: In person
