You'll be part of a mission-driven team committed to creating a safe and caring environment for young people aged 6 to 21. This is a great fit for someone with kitchen experience who values consistency, teamwork, and making a daily difference in the lives of youth.In this role, you will: Prepare and cook meals that meet state nutrition and food safety guidelinesServe meals with care, track servings, and help ensure youth feel welcomed and respectedReceive, rotate, and stock deliveries in dry and refrigerated storageClean and sanitize the kitchen and maintain all equipmentSupport a trauma-informed environment by practicing respectful communication and supporting healing interactionsCollaborate with staff and caregivers to promote a positive, supportive mealtime experienceWho we're looking forRequired:High school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience in food serviceCertified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificateWillingness to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trainingAbility to pass background check and drug screenPreferred:Experience working with youth or in trauma-informed settingsKnowledge of adolescent development and strength-based approachesAdditional InformationThis full-time position is located onsite at our Francisco Campus at 4833 N Francisco Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. In this position, you'll be required to work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with occasional evenings. Physical duties include bending, lifting, and moving kitchen equipment and supplies.
