Food Service Worker at The Wonderful Company

Essential Job Functions: Follow cycle menus and standardized recipes in preparing a variety of meals for students and staff.Prepare ingredients including cleaning slicing chopping measuring weighing and portioning with accuracy and consistency.Execute basic cooking techniques such as roasting baking sauteing and boiling in accordance with safety and quality standards.Monitor food quality and communicate concerns to supervisors immediately.Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.Adheres to food and safety handling policies and HACCP and PPE procedures.Support meal service in Harvest Hall including food truck or grab-and-go stations ensuring timely and friendly service to students and staff.Engage with students and staff in a respectful service-oriented manner that aligns with WCPAs values.Work collaboratively with other food service team members and culinary leads.Participate in staff development and training in food trends kitchen safety and recipe innovation.May perform drop-off or delivery services.May perform any of the duties described in the Food Services Worker I specification or other duties as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pmPay Range: $16.50- $18.50/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.Qualifications : Prior food service experienceAbility to obtain and maintain a California Food Handler Training CertificateDemonstrated reliability organization and ability to follow standardized recipes and kitchen proceduresValid California non-commercial Class Drivers license if performing drop-off or delivery servicesWorking Conditions:Ability to walk stand and patrol for extended periods as well as respond quickly to incidents. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds if needed.Work schedule can fluctuateWet floors.
