Founded in 2019, Swift supports Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community customers across the country and around the globe.We are looking for a Network / Cyber Security Engineer to join a dynamic program providing unique technology expertise to multiple mission areas across software development, data engineering, technical integration, network engineering, and quick reaction development. The technical work is hands-on, lab discovery focused, and multi-disciplinary. The work location is the Tidewater region of Virginia.Responsibilities:Design, install, test, and maintain state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database productsSupport a wide range of network facilities to include physical media, protocol stacks, hubs, routers, bridges, gateways, digital servers, line drivers, telecommunications components, and network management componentsConduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application designTroubleshoot a range of security issues including architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network accessAnalyze systems for malware, misuse, or unauthorized activity. Provide engineering support such as network-based instruction detection for systemsUtilize encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security researchConvert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsEstablish, document, and maintain system baselines and configuration management itemsIntegrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cyber security architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis and relate existing system to future needs and trends; embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction; provide engineering recommendations; and resolve integration/testing issuesRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred); equivalent experience may be substituted10+ years of demonstrated combined network engineering experience and cyber security experienceKnowledge of ICDs related to cyber security including (e.g., ICD 503)Ability to present technical approaches and findings clearly and effectivelyAbility to coordinate with multiple stakeholders concurrently US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required #LI-DI1#Onsite The Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
