We're excited to find individuals who are eager to be part of a team that's driving global impact through innovation, sustainability, and purpose.Location: 490 Ohio Street, Lockport, NY 14094Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM (50 hours/week)Pay: $40 to $45+per hour (based on experience)Sign-on bonus: $1000 USDPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Trailer & Diesel Mechanic with proven experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including trucks, trailers, excavators, forklifts, loaders, and skid steers. The ideal candidate will have a strong diagnostic background, preferably Cummins-certified, and be proficient with Davie 4 diagnostic software. This role requires a versatile mechanic capable of troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components across various equipment types.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment (excavators, trucks, forklifts, loaders, screeners)Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of fleet and equipmentUse Davie 4 and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repairService fuel and brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, exhaust, and electrical systemsConduct routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks)Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage in compliance with DOT and company standardsTest repaired equipment for proper performanceAdhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety standardsCollaborate with team members to resolve complex issues and improve equipment reliabilityStay current with industry trends and technical advancementsQualificationsCummins certification (preferred)Strong knowledge of Davie 4 diagnostic software3 years experience preferred as a diesel mechanic, preferably with trailers and mixed heavy equipmentProficiency in diagnosing and repairing excavators, trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and screenersSolid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systemsCDL (preferred but not required)Ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyCommitment to safety and teamworkTool RequirementsFull socket set (2"-5mm)1/2" drive torque wrenchWrench set (2" and down)Decent plier setTool allowance or voucher program may be available in the futureCertificationsMust be able to pass online diagnostic certifications Required DOT certifications:Air Disc Brake CertificationBrake Foundation Certification(Courses may be difficult to find; support will be provided.)Work EnvironmentOperate manufacturing settingsExposure to high-pressure systems, hazardous fumes, extreme temperatures, loud noise, and heavy machineryRequired PPE: safety glasses, steel/composite toe boots, ear protectionPhysical & Mental DemandsManual dexterity and visual acuity for equipment operationEffective communication and attention to detailAbility to move throughout the work location and comply with safety requirementsTime management and problem-solving skillsWhat We OfferTool and boot allowanceCompetitive compensation package Professional development opportunities Collaborative team environmentWork-life balanceWhat we offer you:Competitive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance coverage401k with a company matchPTO Hours are accrued from Day 1Tuition reimbursementOpportunities for development and internal promotionsTwo minute walk to eco-friendly public transportation from rabbittransitPandoLogic.
