Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts including sit-down, stand-up, order picker, and swing reach. Your role will involve loading, unloading, and transporting materials, accumulating orders, reporting shortages, and staging completed orders for distribution. You will also process returned items and unscheduled issues, maintain inventory records, prepare material requisitions, and assist with procurement requests. Additionally, you will perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, order picker, and swing reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials.
• Accumulate orders, report shortages, and stage completed orders for distribution.
• Process returned items and unscheduled issues.
• Maintain inventory records of materials received, stocked, and issued.
• Prepare material requisitions and assist with procurement requests.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating all types of forklifts including sit-down, stand-up, and cherry picker.
• Knowledge of OSHA and GMP standards.
• Experience in loading and unloading within manufacturing environments.
• Skills in material handling, picking, RF scanning, and packing.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs repetitively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rumford, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
