Forklift Operator at Aerotek
JOB DESCRIPTION
Warehouse Worker
Efficiently and safely handle materials, ensuring accurate inventory control and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to drive sustainability, optimize operations, and adhere to stringent safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to written work instructions to ensure accurate and safe execution of tasks.
- Utilize necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and promptly report potential safety or quality concerns.
- Perform accurate quality control checks on incoming materials, maintaining high standards of product integrity.
- Convey materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated locations.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences.
- Unload materials, verify paperwork, note discrepancies, and distribute items to designated recipients.
- Assemble paperwork from customer service representatives and place orders on pallets or designated locations.
- Mark materials with identifying information and verify accuracy.
- Wrap and ship skids securely and efficiently.
- Use computers for inter-company correspondence and verify temperature control within customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials, following safety rules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the service center.
- Report any out-of-order items or individuals to management.
- Be available during holidays or outside regular shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience in forklift operating and material handling.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and chemical handling.
- Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting.
- Previous warehouse experience required.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
- Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and MRP are desired.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management and packaging.
- Experience in ups and fedex shipping.
- Ability to pick, pack, unload, and manage warehouse inventory.

Work Environment
Work in a busy warehouse environment of a chemical logistics company that streamlines the chemical supply chain. The warehouse is organized and clean, with about 5 forklifts moving simultaneously. Be aware of surroundings as forklifts drive by. The work schedule includes Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. $22/hr with a $2/hr differential for hours worked after 5pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
