Forklift Operator And Machine Operator

Pay: $20 - $22 an hour and for weekend $24/hr

Shift: 1st, 2nd & weekend shift

Job Description

In this dynamic role, you will have the dual responsibility of keeping production lines stocked with materials and managing the loading and unloading of trucks for shipping and receiving. As a fork truck driver, you will support various operations across the plant, including transporting formed metal from the roll forming area to the secondary/utility area, and vice versa. You will also load finished materials into the warehouse and onto trucks. This role involves bringing materials to work cells, taking bundles from work cells, moving racks, and emptying hoppers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup, loading, and unloading of parts from the production line.
  • Utilize computer skills for inventory control and documentation of goods shipped and received.
  • Process and manage paperwork efficiently.
  • Operate hand tools to load and unload parts.
  • Pack finished goods for shipping.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation and material handling experience.
  • Experience in loading and unloading machinery.
  • Proficiency with RF scanners and inventory control systems.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly for data entry and managing bills of lading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Sit-down forklift experience is essential.
  • Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
