We provide a family- oriented company and an opportunity to grow professionally and personally.Job PurposeThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction through the pulling/picking/shipping/piling of finished ambient goods. This motivated individual will be in a role that will affect all reaches within the VDF/FC organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Primary responsibilities include:Ability to work in varying temperature environmentsOrganize paperwork (i.e. pick tickets shipping manifests shipping labels)Ability to operate pallet jack forklift and ERP scannersPull product per pick ticketPile items within the warehouse as directedDaily receipt and loading of product to/from Straight-trucks Tractor-trailers or overseas containersCycle counting/on demand inventory countingClean up of the warehouse areaResponsible for the proper receipt pulling piling and organization of finished goodsShip product out via preferred carrier (UPS/FedEx/common) for all customer routed finished goodsAdditional duties as requiredQualifications-EducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Qualifications-Required and Preferred SkillsRequired skills:Ability to follow instructions set forth from daily requestsDeveloped listening verbal and written communication skills.Organizational and detail skills.Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.Must be a problem-solver with the ability to use good judgeExperience within shipment portalsAbility to drive a forkliftAbility to lift 50lbsSkills not required but preferred:Experience with ERP/WMSComputer Skills:Basic Computer skillsDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
