We leverage a deep understanding of technology and growth strategy to deliver multi-channel solutions for enterprise clients with a strong focus on the energy and utilities sectors.Position OverviewMarks Inc. a multi-venture holding company with technology hospitality venture capital and real estate businesses is seeking a hands-on Fractional Portfolio FP&A Analyst to support financial operations and analysis across the entire portfolio. This role builds P&Ls models pro formas and dashboards prepares financial information for fundraising and transactions and works directly with portfolio company leaders to help them develop strong financial reporting practices.This is a do-the-work role ideal for a financially savvy analyst who loves spreadsheets modeling and creating clarity in complex portfolios.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain P&Ls for multiple entities (Mindgrub Mindpub venture-backed startups real estate projects etc.)Create pro formas budgets financial models and scenario analysesSupport fundraising efforts by assembling investor-ready financial packetsHelp early-stage startups fix or enhance their financial systems reporting and forecastingAttend portfolio company meetings to work through financial questions and operational modelingAssemble data lockers and diligence documentation for business sales (e.g. Mindpub)Assist with loan applications lender packages and financial documentation for development projectsGenerate dashboards charts margin analyses and financial summaries as requestedCollaborate with Mindgrubs accounting team to produce deeper analyses (tax docs county docs margin reports etc.)Keep financial data organized structured and presentation-ready across all portfolio businessesRequirements10 - 20 hours per weekBaltimore-area local for occasional onsite meetings3 - 7 years experience in FP&A financial analysis or accountingExpert spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets / Excel modeling pivots forecasting sensitivity analysis etc.)Experience with investor reporting or VC fundraising prep preferredStrong communicator who can explain numbers simply to founders and operatorsExperience with restaurant tech or real estate finance a plusHighly organized able to juggle multiple entities at onceIdeal CandidateHands-on executor not a delegatorEnjoys building detailed financial spreadsheets and modelsThrives in a portfolio environment with many moving partsCan take scattered or incomplete data and produce clean investor-ready financialsComfortable joining meetings with founders and helping them fix or structure financialsCompensation$50.00 - $75.00 USD per hourBase compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills education certifications geographic location and overall experience for the roleInclusivity without exception At Mindgrub we value and encourage mutual respect and acceptance.
