This position will also provide administrative support to the Executive Director of Research Facilities & Infrastructure and the Research Core Directors and Managers.Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, the social sciences, or other job-related field. Prior USC business experience. Knowledge of USC’s systems and administrative and financial policies and procedures. Experience in grant management.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Excel, Adobe, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, PeopleSoftUnderstanding of basic accounting and financial management principlesKnowledge of policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to the specific administrative functionKnowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipmentExperience working as a team with Principal Investigators and technical staffAbility to coordinate diverse administrative functionsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsRequired to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance polies, procedures, and regulationsJob Duty:Assist the Director of Finance & Business Operations with the creation and management of Agilent iLab billing events, including tracking core incomes and invoice distribution. Assist the Finance & Business Operations Director with the creation and distribution of monthly budget reports.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:40Job Duty:Coordinate travel, serve as liaison to other university departments and non-USC core users, and monitor compliance. Assist the Director of Finance & Business Operations with procurement actions and the processing of other financial transactions.Essential Function:YesPercentage of Time:15Job Duty:Track centralized core inventory and service contracts to ensure that all equipment is accounted for, in working condition, in the proper location, and, when necessary, covered by a service contract with an approved vendor. At the direction of the core directors renew service contracts as necessary.
