Days off and available shifts vary based on site needs at the time.ShiftStart TimeEnd Time1st6:30 AM3:30 PM1st6:45 AM3:15 PM2nd3:15 PM11:45 PM2nd3:30 PM12:00 AM2nd3:45 PM12:15 AMEnsures the Food Safety and quality of all product labeled, portioned, cooked, MAP, packaged, and shipped from Home Chef Tempo by working alongside production to conduct on-the-line checks of product against recipe specifications and quality standards.Detailed ResponsibilitiesCore FSQA tech FunctionsVerification of CCPs & CQPs:Conduct inspections at RTH production to ensure Food Safety & Quality requirements are met & recorded in the appropriate formAssist in assigning daily and weekly responsibilities for RTH FSQA Techs and Sanitors, making sure there are appropriate resources to cover all activitiesVerification of the accuracy of ingredients being used for production based on culinary recipeVerification cook & chill temperature limits have been met & documented appropriately Ensure post-lethality exposed product is properly stored to prevent cross contamination Conduct finished product inspections to ensure product is released according to Food Safety & Quality requirementsVerification of chemical titration prior to each use Ensure accuracy of labeling for finished products Conduct on-line verification checks including but not limited to: Metal Detection, Oxygen Analysis, pH, and seal integrityEscalate deviations immediately and assisting with product disposition as neededConducting Audits of Production Areas & Pre-requisite programs: Conduct continuous GMP inspections & corrections with proper documentation Inspection of equipment & processing area to ensure sanitation & conditions are compliant with Food Safety & Quality standardsEnforce Food Defense protocol as needed Other internal audits as needed Food SafetyPerform daily, weekly, and/or monthly tasks as assigned by FSQA Superintendent and/or FSQA Supervisor including, but not limited to: GMP Audits, Metal Detection Verification, Environmental Monitoring Swabbing, Lab Equipment Calibrations, Chemical Titrations, Pre-Shipment Review, Hold Management, and Start of Line and Pre-Operational Inspections. Hold team members and cross-functional partners accountable to Home Chef's food safety expectations Perform Food Safety record verifications including but not limited to: receiving, pre-operational, cook & chill, metal detection and Pre-Shipment Release. Other ResponsibilitiesTraining Assist in training of new employees on Food Safety & Quality practices Train, coach and empower Tempo Quality Techs and Sanitation associatesIssue EscalationPromptly notifies leadership when Food Safety & Quality issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations arise Placing product on FSQA hold and assisting with dispositions as required Assisting in Production/Sanitation/Safety dutiesAssist in non-competitive functions when needed: e.g. sweeping floors, moving product and safety investigationsGeneral ResponsibilitiesFollow the facility GMP's and help enforce them throughout the facilitySupport the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programsAttitude and AttendanceArrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedureCommunicates with co-workers in a professional mannerTreats co-workers with respect at all timesUses teamwork with working with production throughout the day Demonstrates ownership of tasks and job responsibilities on a consistent basis.QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for this role. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end.
