RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the FSQA department and ensure all food safety and quality programs are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved. Validate quality processes, monitor production performance, and maintain accurate documentation aligned with regulatory and customer requirements. Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and compliance evaluations; analyze trends and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and customer complaints. Oversee the Food Safety Team-including scheduling, training, and ensuring ongoing competency in food safety principles and procedures. Manage and maintain the facility's Food Safety Management System, ensuring full compliance with FDA/USDA regulations and GFSI standards. Prepare and lead Food Safety, HACCP, and management review meetings. Develop, update, and enforce SOPs, quality programs, and sanitation procedures. Ensure proactive actions are taken to prevent food safety, legality, or quality issues. Support sanitation oversight, including cleaning practices, schedules, and verification activities. QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of Management experience in Food Manufacturing (preferred). Bilingual English Spanish required. Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferred. Knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and experience participating in regulatory inspections. Strong background in sanitation, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and GFSI-based programs. Experience in creating SOPs, documentation systems, and food safety programs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred certifications: SQF Practitioner, HACCP.
