Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryWe are looking for a reliable, kind, energetic person who LOVES children - and who wants to work as part of an amazing childcare center team! The position is full time, Monday - Friday from 8:45 am - 5:45 pm. This person will work in one of our 3-4-year-old classrooms as an assistant to the Lead Teacher, and should be comfortable with children ages 3 and 4. **Pay is dependent on experience and education.The Neighborhood Learning Center serves children from infant through 5th grade and we are an active, friendly, FUN place to work! In 2024 AND 2025, we were the WINNER of Best of Loudoun for Best Child Care Center! Almost half our staff have worked here over 5 years!We are also a Subsidy Provider and a member of VQB5!DutiesSupervise children: Provide constant supervision during all activities, including playtime, transitions, meals, and nap time.Assist with daily routines: Help with basic needs like diapering, toileting, handwashing, and preparing/serving meals.Implement lesson plans: Assist the lead teacher in preparing and carrying out daily educational activities and lesson plans.Communicate: Maintain good communication with parents, guardians, and other staff members regarding children's progress and any concerns.Support individual needs: Provide individual attention to children and help support their individual needs.Promote social skills: Guide children in acquiring social skills and building positive relationships.RequirementsAt least 18 years oldWilling to learn and be trainedEnjoys working as part of a teamReliable transportationAble to bend, twist, sit on the floor, and lift up to 30 poundsEnergy and enthusiasm, and a sense of fun!Nice To HavesExperience in a childcare center settingBenefitsMedical insuranceDental insuranceEmployee discount - 50% off tuitionPaid time off including 11 paid holidays and paid snow daysRetirement plan with employer match up to 3%Vision eyewear insurance
