JOB DESCRIPTION
Fuel Cell Lead
You will be the F-16 Build Team, Production Fuel Tank Sealant Lead for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Team. Our team is responsible for sealing fuel tanks in the center section of the aircraft. What You Will Be Doing The Production Lead will be responsible for providing status of work documents and work accomplished in their work area. The candidate will be the intermediary between the aircraft assembly crew and production supervision while assisting other mechanics with day-to-day activities. The Production Lead will be considered a working lead that will maintain certifications and qualifications to perform production tasks as required to complete tasks on the product, as well as other associated duties:
- Open/Close toolboxes by verifying accurate inventory of tools and documenting applicable logs along with any additional taskings assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure team members have properly put away tools, parts and consumables at end of shift.
- Assist supervisors with product discipline, housekeeping, HAZMAT accountability and 6S lean manufacturing initiatives/compliance.
- Train assigned mechanics in all aspects of the aircraft component build. They shall instill product disciplines to align with Production Imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous materials, adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling, clean as you go, housekeeping, Tool & FOD controls.
The F-16 Production Lead will be required to interface with multiple functional organizations, in addition to the area supervisor and manufacturing support team member (Ops Tech) to resolve issues or constraints in the aircraft assembly/production environment. Candidate must be able to successfully pass Fuel Sealant and Sealant repair training. Candidate must be able to asses correct use of Fuel Sealants and application as well as provide training to team members to ensure a quality product is be delivered to quality and production.

Desired skills:
- F-16 fuel sealant experience highly desirable.
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License
- Ability to problem solve.
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team to meet critical schedules and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with ability apply their intent.
- Ability to understand aircraft work instructions.
- Demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability of application of sealant application and repair of sealant applied to components
- Champion of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control measures

Ability to work remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
