This is what has driven our teams since 1833.Since that time we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry delivering time-critical logistics services at over 300 locations in 65 countries across 6 continents.But at the heart of our business is our people.Role PurposeAs a Menzies Aviation Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all Aircraft Fuelers in the Fueling Operations. Other responsibilities include issuing written and verbal instructions while ensuring adherence to safety procedures.What you will be doingReviews data on incoming flights such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure destinations and down line station stops in order to plan work activitiesDirects and coordinates all operations functions and ensures workers and equipment are available for fueling and defueling servicesSupervise Aircraft Fueling Operations to ensure Fuelers are performing their duties in a professional safe and efficient manner according to Company/Carriers standardsEnsure the effective operation of fuelingPrepare and submit reports as required such as staffing updates shift reports delay reports and equipment status reportsResponsible for accurate accounting and fuel transactionsRecommending manpower requirementsMaintaining harmony among workers and resolving grievancesPerform as mentor to other employeesPerforming or assisting subordinates in performing dutiesEnsuring disciplinary procedures are conducted in a fair timely and consistent mannerUphold the companys commitment to Equal Employment OpportunityCarrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable lawsAbility to comply with attendance/tardiness standardsOperate fuel trucks to provide services to customersAbility to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimalsPerform other duties as assignedSafety Security Wellbeing and Compliance:You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information training and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. As such the Company prohibits such misuse and carries out regular testing to enforce our Substance Misuse Policy.Please see the attached job description for further details on safety security wellbeing & complianceWhat we are looking for:Prior Aircraft Fueling experience requiredPrior management supervisory or lead experience in the Aviation industry preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderPossess and maintain a valid US drivers license with a clean driving recordMust pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testingAbility to proficiently read write and speak EnglishMust be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitivelyMust be comfortable working in all weather conditionsMust be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidaysPass FBI background and obtain US Customs SealPossess/Maintain FAA required identification/seals or authorizationsTo report any significant deficiency in our products materials and documentsHas the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and securityMust have high school diploma GED or six months experience as a Lead FuelerSchedule: open availabilityKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to learn quicklyAbility to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when neededStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to build relationshipsWorking ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts high voltages and high hydraulic/pneumatic employee is also frequently exposed to very loud noise levels fumes or airborne particles and hazardous substances materials or employee occasionally works in high precarious places.Under the daily supervision of the Maintenance Manager with assistance as needed from the Station Manager. Performs periodic maintenance and inspections on filters pumps valves tanks pressure controls metering and gauging equipment company vehicles.
