We design build test and operate all parts of the system thousands of satellites consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing and the software that brings it all together. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Issue purchase orders quickly and without errorEnsure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliersObtain the original promise date from suppliersReview open order reports and manage deliveriesResolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on timeExpedite parts as necessaryAct as customer service for SpaceX internal customersSupport buyers in cost savings initiativesLead miscellaneous procurement projectsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree OR 4 years of experience working in a supply chain production or engineering functionPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Purchasing experienceRemarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speedAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsExcellent customer service skillsEffective written verbal and presentation communication skillsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsStrong technical knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrityDetail-oriented self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentAbility to type >50 WPMADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededThis position is based in Redmond and is 100% onsiteCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range: Fulfillment Buyer: $29.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of company stock stock options or long-term cash awards as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
