Each day you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABBs operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is onsite/hybrid in Cary NC.You will be mainly accountable for:As an intern you will analyze model and propose an application that:Automates material replenishment requests to ensure timely supply flowOptimizes routes for material handlers (forklift and tugger operators) including finished goods pick-upInterfaces with the existing MES system through APIs or middleware for seamless integrationCollaborates with factory specialists to formalize the business case and select technical elements for the solutionTests validates and documents the solution in real manufacturing environments providing support for troubleshootingDevelops a plan to scale the solution across manufacturing operationsQualifications for the role:Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program in Computer Science Data Science or a related field in the United States. Knowledge of algorithms and data modelingIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipnow and in the future.
