ModMeds global headquarters is based in Boca Raton FL with a growing office in Hyderabad India and a robust remote workforce across the US Chile and Germany.ModMed is hiring a driven Software Engineer 2 to join our positive passionate and high-performing Product Development team focused on designing and developing cutting-edge healthcare software this role you will design build document test and debug software applicationswhether cloud-hosted or in-houseleveraging PHP and associated development is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!Your Role:Work within an agile cross-functional team to deliver organizational objectivesDevelop user-facing features using and related libraries (e.g. Redux React Router Zustand Recoil)Make sound design decisions and tradeoffs within the codebaseContribute across the codebase with minimal guidanceBuild reusable efficient and scalable components and front-end librariesTranslate UI/UX wireframes into responsive high-quality codeUse user empathy to inform design and development decisionsCollaborate with QA and advise on regression risksProactively fix issues and address technical debtEnsure cross-browser compatibility and consistent visual designOptimize applications for performance and scalabilityIdentify and resolve bugs performance issues and UI inconsistenciesCommunicate effectively across teams and functionsProactively identify risks and raise issues early to support course correctionOwn and deliver complex tasks end-to-end with minimal guidanceNavigate roadblocks efficiently and collaborate when neededProduce accurate estimates and deliver high-quality work on scheduleSkills & Requirements:Minimum 3 years of professional web development experienceBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fieldStrong proficiency in and related libraries (Redux React Router Zustand Recoil)Expertise in PHP and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony; experience with Perl or Python a plusSolid understanding of web standards APIs REST XML and JSONStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred)Effective communicator with strong collaboration skillsStrong problem-solving abilities; adaptable proactive and ownership-drivenCommitment to code quality architecture and documentationExperience with Agile methodologies a plusFamiliarity with design patterns a plus#LI-JM1ModMed Benefits Highlight: At ModMed we believe its important to offer a competitive benefits package designed to meet the diverse needs of our growing workforce.
