Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionJoin our clinical staff as an essential Aspire Allergy Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist and contribute to our mission of curing patients with allergy, asthma, and sinus problems. You'll be administering allergy tests and injections, providing exceptional support during in-office procedures, and assisting with front-office administrative tasks. Help us deliver an extraordinary patient experience from start to finish!Clinic Locations:Westlake: 5656 Bee Caves Rd C-104, West Lake Hills, TX 78746Lakeway: 12801 Shops Pkwy Suite 400, Bee Cave, TX 78738Clinic Schedule & Hours: Monday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Lakeway)Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Westlake)Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Westlake)Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Lakeway)Friday: 8:00am-12:00pm (Westlake)What You'll Be DoingMedical Assistant Key Responsibilities:Escorting patient to exam room; obtaining vitals, past/present medical history, and current medication listEffectively communicating allergy testing and treatment protocols to patientsAdministering subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injectionsConducting thorough and accurate spirometry testingPerforming all testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy’s protocols and safety measuresNavigating EHR system to record accurate patient health informationServing patients & visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriatelyAssist in answering incoming and outgoing phone calls and providing accurate informationTracking clinical inventory and resupply when neededEnsuring all of end of day reports and logs are accurate and completeFollowing all HIPAA rules and regulations including confidentiality of patient informationAdhering to Aspire Allergy’s protocols and safety measuresAdhering to OSHA requirements including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelinesFront Office Key Responsibilities:Greeting, welcoming, and directing patients and visitors appropriately with a friendly demeanor.Reaching out to insurance providers to obtain CT authorizations.Collecting patient payments for outstanding balances and current appointments.Answering all incoming phone calls and providing accurate information & resources.Rescheduling follow-up appointments through our scheduling software.Recording patient health information accurately into the EHR system which includes insurance information, demographic information, referral source, contact information, and PCP information.Being familiar with our Electronic Health Record (EHR) Practice Management PlatformPreparing and organizing patient paperwork for upcoming appointments.Scanning and attaching patient records or documents into their charts.Monitoring incoming pharmacy shipments to prepare for patient pick-up.Conducting weekly bank deposits, if warranted, depending on your region.Checking incoming mail and processes accordingly.Ensuring all of the end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete.Stocking the front desk, waiting room, and break room with the necessary supplies.
