Full Time Ride Mechanic at Six Flags Over Texas

JOB SUMMARY:  Repair, operate, rehab, and provide general maintenance to park rides and equipment.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform daily mechanical inspections and repairs to ride structures and unitsMaintain and trouble shoot amusement rides and park equipmentMaintain records for maintenance and inspections performedWork with other departments as needed to complete dutiesMaintain compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulationsMaintain positive interaction with other employees and guestsOther tasks and duties as assigned SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:One to Two years of maintenance experience involving industrial or heavy equipment maintenance and mechanical repair proceduresShould have a varied skill set including knowledge of general maintenance, welding, and machine shop repairMust be able to work varied shifts, days, nights, and weekends including extended hours when required and willing to work under various weather conditionsMust be physically able to climb stairs and ride units with heights of 50 or more feetMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to stoop, bend, and lift regularlyMust be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal supervisionMust be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalentAble to provide own basic hand toolsMust possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and successfully complete all authorized employment screenings and criminal background checks
