THIS IS YOUR JOB!DutiesEstablish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classroomsProvide basic needs for childrenProvide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activitiesAdapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of childrenDevelop and maintain positive relationships with children and parentsManage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and mealsTrack childrens' progress and report to parentsMaintain a clean and tidy classroomHelp children reach developmental milestonesCollaborate with others to implement lesson plansEncourage children to interact with each other to develop social skillsProvide appropriate supervision for children at all timesMaintain inventory system for classroom materials and suppliesFacilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytellingAdhere to health/safety and sanitation proceduresRequirements*Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds.*Physical ability to sit on the floor or low chair or squat down for 15 minutes at a time*Abiltiy to walk or stand for an hour at a time.*Level of physical fitness that allows for keeping pace with the activity level of young children.Nice To HavesExperience working with children.BenefitsTwo weeks paid vacation after the first year.
