Location: Avon (Northam)Remuneration/Benefit: Attractive wages as per EAAbout the role:Entry-level role within the rollingstock maintenance team offering on-the-job training and strong pathways for long-term growth. If youre looking to kick-start your career in the rail industry were seeking local applicants from Northam and surrounding areas to join our maintenance team at the Avon depot. As a Rollingstock Maintainer youll support the maintenance servicing and repair of rail wagons to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.Your new role: Key Responsibilities:Inspect repair and maintain rail wagons ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.Perform scheduled servicing component replacement and modifications as required.Conduct fault-finding and troubleshootingon wagon components including brakes couplings suspension and pneumatic systems.Shunting of rollingstock and operating shunt units.Safe operation of mobile plant and equipment.Maintain accurate recordsof all repairs inspections and maintenance activitiesEnsure compliance with Safety Health and Environment.About you:Strong commitment to safetyCurrent unrestricted WA drivers licenseHigh level of knowledge of functions defects and fault findings with equipmentCert III in Engineering or equivalent would be highly regarded however is not essentialSubstantial level of skills in repair maintenance and overhaul of machinery although not essential would be highly regardedWhat we can offer you:At Aurizon we support the development and growth of our employees to reach their full potential.
