Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:1. Lead group and individual programming to support functional life skilldevelopment of residents in one or more A&A Health Services communities2. Facilitate life skills groups according to the themes and content directed by thedirector of occupational therapy and/ or acting supervisor3. Document groups and individual support in our software platform for each clientserved4. Document group plans and calendars in One Dive5. Document client goals and progress per policy. This position will receive supportand mentoring from an occupational therapist or other related clinical supervisor6. Maintain an activity attendance record to assist with the evaluation of group program7. Confer with the Director of Occupational Therapy Services of on matters of policy and departmental problems. policy and departmental problems.8. Collaborate with community staff to ensure the safety and well-being of clients11. Clear, efficient and professional communication with colleagues and residents isimperative for this positionRequirements:Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent. Prior activities coordination/supervision experiencepreferred. Current first aid certification strongly preferred.Seeking individual(s) with behavioral health experience and passion for supporting independentliving skills. This position could be filled by an occupational therapist, occupational therapyassistant, Board Certified Behavior Analyst or other related disciplineCertifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements:Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray. Current CPR and First Aid certificationpreferred. Must pass criminal background check. Must have compassion for and desire towork with our clients.Essential Skills:Possess a pleasant personality, and be congenial with fellowemployees and the public. Must be able to supervise staff and volunteers. Must be capable offollowing instructions and using good judgment and initiative in daily duties. Must haveexcellent communication skills.
