As a Brand Manager, Innovation, you will play a key role in identifying and developing consumer-based innovation initiatives that drive growth across Hershey's portfolio. Working cross-functionally with Insights, R&D, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and external agency partners, you will help bring new ideas to lifefrom opportunity identification and concept development through commercialization. This role is ideal for a strategic and analytically minded marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about understanding consumers, and is excited to shape the future of some of Hershey's most iconic brands.
What will you do?
- Lead and support innovation initiatives from discovery and ideation through commercialization using Hershey's stage-gate process.
- Partner with Consumer Insights to identify trends, unmet consumer needs, and whitespace opportunities that fuel growth.
- Contribute to annual business planning, strategic planning, and ongoing business re-planning efforts.
- Analyze business performance and marketplace dynamics to develop recommendations across key marketing levers, including advertising, promotion, innovation, pricing, and retail programming.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of marketing and innovation plans.
- Develop assessments of consumers, customers, competitors, and market trends, translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to drive project success.
- Support achievement of business growth, profitability, and market share objectives while developing broad general management capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional experience in Brand Management, Innovation, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Strategy, or a related business function.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment; project management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Superior strategic-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana/IRI, or similar) is a plus. Previous P&L exposure is a plus.
- Curiosity, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning and innovation.
- Education: MBA required.
