**This is a hybrid position**
Responsibilities:
- Reconciles accounts by reviewing daily ICS (gaming system) reports and entering data in a game analysis spreadsheet for each NCEL game. Records each NCEL game on a separate spreadsheet for the entire fiscal year. Processing journal entries and adjustments as needed after verifying the accuracy of the data
- Verify the ticket load history and prize level report in Aurora (NCEL Gaming System). Responsible for game-related accounting, including verification of the instant ticket prize percentage for new games
- Reconciles amounts owed to and from MUSL (Multi-State Lottery) for Powerball, Mega Millions, and Lucky for Life
- Completes retailer adjustments by receiving and confirming documentation, reviewing documentation for accuracy, selecting the appropriate code and type for processing, and assigning batch identification numbers. Responsible for reviewing the daily and weekly big winner reports
- Prepares ad-hoc and game-related reports in response to press, legislative, and public inquiries, such as quarterly sales data, yearly sales data, and other financial and nonfinancial information
- Assists the NCEL external auditors regarding any inquiries they have during the Annual Audit
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, including U.S. GAAP and Fraud Rules
- Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Management Reporter preferred
- Skill in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a group setting, as well as individually
- Attention to detail
Hiring Rate: $46,434 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
