Job Description: As a Gastroenterologist you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for individuals facing digestive health challenges. What youll do Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.Perform diagnostic procedures including endoscopies and colonoscopies utilizing advanced medical imaging techniques.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive perioperative care.Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings ensuring continuity of care.Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and EMR systems to maintain accurate patient documentation.Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and health coaching to promote digestive health.Participate in clinical research to advance the field of gastroenterology and improve treatment protocols.Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology including emerging therapies like botulinum toxin treatment. Basic qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility for board certification.Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with Epic software.Strong understanding of medical terminology related to gastrointestinal health. Preferred qualifications Experience in critical care settings including ICU experience or inpatient management.Knowledge of related specialties such as endocrinology oncology and cardiology.Familiarity with CPT coding and documentation practices for accurate billing processes.Previous involvement in clinical trials or research initiatives within gastroenterology.
