By integrating these behaviors into our day-to-day operations, ACPNY strives to always create healthier futures for its patients.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant to provide medical services in collaboration with our Gastroenterology physicians in our 95th Street Manhattan medical office. Prior expertise in this area of medicine is required.Join us in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide a full scope of services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance.Responsibilities:Conduct advanced Gastroenterology assessment of patient, documenting pertinent findings.Initiates, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and/or endoscopic procedures.Systematically compares and contrast clinical diagnostic findings with normal and abnormal variations in making differential diagnoses.Identifies expected outcomes that incorporate evidence-based practiceDesigns strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of complex patientsSelects therapeutic interventions that reflect current clinical judgment.Evaluates diagnoses and the effectiveness of the interventions to achieve expected outcomes.Prescribes treatments, therapy procedures, and medications in accordance with New York State and federal law.Consider the patients comprehensive overall health needs with integrated delivery of patient care.Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients.Perform other job-related duties as required.
