Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Bethany for Children & Families is looking for a Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services! The Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services will provide leadership and oversight for Illinois Child Welfare and Placement programs. This role is responsible for guiding program development, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining full compliance with state, contractual, and accreditation standards. The Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services will also oversee the effective use of financial and material resources while contributing to strategic planning and organization-wide initiatives. Division Leadership and Program SupervisionThe Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services provides overall leadership for service delivery and program development by:Offering constructive, professional supervision to Supervisors to ensure programs are delivered in alignment with contracts, program plans, and agreements with community partners.Supporting staff in strengthening existing programs and implementing new service initiatives.Ensuring performance objectives are met and accreditation standards are consistently upheld.Maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with organizational leadership, funders, and referral partners through high-quality services and timely communication.Providing regular updates to the Vice President of Child and Family Services regarding budgets, staffing needs, morale, and division-wide issues.Submitting reports, statistical data, and all required documentation in accordance with contract and funding requirements.Delivering training to enhance staff understanding of program expectations and organizational standards.Ensuring high-quality service delivery by establishing processes for monitoring utilization, quality assurance, and outcome measurement.2. Resource and Budget ManagementThe Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services ensures the responsible stewardship of division resources by:Developing, implementing, and managing the annual operational budget.Identifying and pursuing grants and funding opportunities to enhance or expand programs.3. Requirements:The Director of Child Welfare and Placement Services shall possess:A master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).At least five (5) years of management experience in child welfare or related services.Strong leadership, communication, and program development skills.Experience with budgeting, accreditation standards, and quality assurance processes.Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with community partners and funding agencies. The ability to meet all regulatory requirements for employees of Child Welfare Agencies as outlined in Illinois Administrative Rule and Procedure, including completion of background checks through the Sex Offender Registry, SACWIS, Illinois State Police, FBI, and Federal Office of the Inspector General, as well as eligibility for certification as a driver of children by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe celebrate diversity and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
