Medical Center is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician!P ractice Setting: Inpatient Call Structure at Hospital approx 1:4 Fri 4pm-Fri 4pm Floor/ED/ICU/emergent consults and endoscopies (when needed) Carry Beeper overnight Outpatient-TBD and will know more early next week Reason for Coverage: Retirement Dates of Coverage: Start mid Dec 2025 until we find perm placement physician Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro, endoscopy Onsite Lab? Yes Onsite X-Ray? Yes Will Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine be Required? No Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: unknown at this time if output coverage is required-will amend as soon as i know Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 4-12 per day How Many Physicians in Your Group? 4 Average Number of Patients Per Day: 4-12 per day Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Start in mid to late December EUS/ERCP - NOT REQUIRED Required Procedures: Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry Esophageal Manometry Interpretation Small Bowel Biopsy Lower GI Endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy Liver Biopsy Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy with Foreign Body Removal with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser) with Injection of Varices with Banding of Varices Diagnostic Therapeutic with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Submission Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible - REQUIRED BC preferred ACTIVE MA LICSENSE - REQUIRED No outpatient expectations BLS - REQUIRED ERCP certification is a nice to have but not a must - NICE TO HAVE
