Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionWhat youll do: Hands-on engineering projects in a manufacturing environment to evaluate and identify areas for improvement and implement these improvements Responsible for processes and procedures that drive customer satisfaction quality fulfillment and direct material productivity savings Additional projects may involve working with cross-functional teams that focus on improving the quality of production areas. You may utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies in driving improvement through the production area. Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of production equipment.Primary Skills Developed:Shop floor problem solving. Understanding of how to balance Design Manufacturing and Sourcing aspects to enable the shop floor team to deliver the needed production parts to the required specifications.What youll bring (Basic Qualifications): Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.Following majors accepted: Aeronautical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Chemical Engineering Electrical Engineering Material Science Engineering Mechanical Engineering. Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
