Gear Shop Mechanic at Sadler Power Train
JOB DESCRIPTION
Sadler Power Train, a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in the Light, Medium and Heavy-Duty Truck Parts and Service Industry. We are headquartered in Cedar Rapids, IA with branches in Davenport, Dubuque and Waterloo. We have built a reputation as the premiere shop for rebuilding differentials, transmissions, and transfer cases.
We are looking for the right individual to join our team in our Davenport, IA location, to help serve our customers.
We are seeking an individual for the position of Gear Shop Mechanic doing bench work in a clean and modern environment.
Sadler Power Train is looking for individuals who possess:
Previous experience rebuilding differentials and transmissions beneficial
Demonstrate mechanical abilities
Good verbal and written skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
Knowledgeable of safe work practices
Your Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, teardown and assemble customer differentials, transmissions, transfer cases and stock units
Complete appropriate repairs and reassemble according to specifications
Work Closely with Department Manager to resolve any concerns
Cross train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
Perform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environment
Maintain positive interaction with service writer, parts department, customers and management
Be physically able to meet the demands of the job with no restrictions
