Temp To PermLocation: Houston TXSchedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (OT as needed)Pay Rate: $28.00 $35.00 per hour (based on experience)About the Role:LK Jordan is hiring an experienced Gearbox Technician to support a reputable company specializing in industrial gearbox repair and restoration. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise in disassembling inspecting repairing and reassembling various types of gearboxes used in manufacturing power generation refining and heavy industrial applications.Key Responsibilities:Disassemble clean and inspect industrial gearboxes identifying worn or damaged components.Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair or rebuild processes.Reassemble gearboxes with precision ensuring alignment torque specs and tolerances meet OEM standards.Perform root cause failure analysis and provide recommendations for preventive measures.Operate basic machine tools (lathes mills presses etc.) for part repair or modification.Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers dial indicators calipers) to verify component accuracy.Work from blueprints drawings and specifications to execute rebuild procedures.Maintain detailed service documentation repair notes and quality assurance checklists.Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean organized work area.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience as a Gearbox Technician Industrial Mechanic or related field.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of gear types (helical bevel worm planetary etc.).Experience with gearbox assembly/disassembly bearing and seal replacement and alignment.Familiarity with vibration analysis or balancing equipment is a plus.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.LKJ is an EOERequired Experience:IC Key Skills Aeronautical,Healthcare Attorney,Fitness,General Services,Account Management,Export Documentation Employment Type : Temp Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 28 - 35
