General Laborer

Join a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will support machine operators and contribute to efficient operations. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and ensuring workplace cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Aid and assist machine operators by supplying materials to the equipment.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Minimize scrap waste, deliver waste to the appropriate department when the scrap truck is full, and accurately tag waste for reporting.
• Perform janitorial tasks such as sweeping floors and taking out the garbage.

Essential Skills:

• 2 years of high-speed package operating experience.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and apply basic shop math.
• Capable of working in a high-speed packaging environment, including packaging and labeling.
• Strong sense of urgency without compromising quality or attention to detail.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
