JOB DESCRIPTION

Cabinet Manufacturing Associate

Join a dynamic team in a large manufacturing facility specializing in custom cabinet production. This role begins in the trim department, with opportunities for advancement into other departments and promotion over time. You will rotate between four different departments, gaining diverse skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follow job instructions and maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform edge sanding using orbital sanders on doors and headers.
  • Inspect loose components, repair as needed, and ensure quality control.
  • Catch panels off the panel sander and prepare them for subsequent processes.
  • Hang components onto the paint line and ensure proper application.
  • Install hinges onto doors with precision and accuracy.
  • Measure components, correspond order forms with products, and install shelves, roll tray tracks, and inner components.
  • Screw in roll tray tracks, hang doors, and install drawers in the Door Hanger department.
  • Package finished cabinets into cardboard boxes ensuring secure delivery.
  • Quickly remove stain from components, ensuring a smooth finish that follows the wood grain.
  • Remove excess glaze from components, allowing glaze to remain in natural areas of the doors.

Essential Skills

  • Production and general labor experience.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
  • Experience in woodworking and cabinet making.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of previous work experience.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Capability to pass the tape measure test.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with training.

Work Environment

Work in a large, bustling manufacturing facility with around 300 employees. Safety glasses and earbuds are provided to protect you from the loud environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:30pm. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes and non-offensive clothing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
