GENERAL LABORER

Job Description

General laborers are essential to the workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction of CCS. They support warehouse operations, deliveries, and forms processing to ensure accurate order fulfillment, safe transportation, organized inventory, and properly maintained equipment and materials. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup
  • Pull, load, and unload cargo and materials, maintaining product quality throughout handling and transport
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other power equipment safely within the warehouse and yard
  • Retrieve materials and equipment from job sites and load onto trailers as needed
  • Unload, inspect, clean, repair, and reconstruct materials as necessary to maintain quality standards
  • Perform safety checks of vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment before and after use
  • Follow loading and safety protocols, securing cargo and adhering to traffic regulations during deliveries
  • Use GPS and communicate route or operational updates with supervisors and team members
  • Monitor and report missing, damaged, or unsafe inventory and equipment to management
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, yard, fleet, tools, and work areas at all times
  • Handle power tools and equipment following established safety procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met efficiently and professionally
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned or needed

Experience and Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Warehouse, delivery, or general labor experience preferred. Experience operating forklifts, power tools, or performing basic carpentry is a plus. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Must be able to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor weather conditions.


Requirements:

Skills, Licensing, and Certifications

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record may be required
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds safely
  • Knowledge of driving rules and safety regulations
  • Basic carpentry skills and experience with power tools preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail, positive work history, and dependable attendance


Compensation details: 20-20 Hourly Wage
