Job Summary

Pro-Fabricators LLC is seeking a reliable, hardworking General Laborer with Welding Experience to join our production team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in keeping our shop running smoothly while directly contributing to the fabrication process. You will handle daily shop labor tasks, material preparation, and use your welding skills to assemble, tack, and weld various metal projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile worker who enjoys a mix of hands-on labor and skilled fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality welds (MIG/TIG/Stick, depending on shop needs) on a variety of metal projects according to blueprint specifications or shop layouts.
• Material Preparation: Cut, grind, deburr, drill, and prep metal pieces for fabrication and welding.
• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move raw materials, parts, and finished products around the shop using forklifts, overhead cranes, or manual lifting.
• Shop Assembly: Assist fabricators in aligning, clamping, and securing parts for assembly.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning tools, and disposing of scrap metal properly.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all company safety policies, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and operate shop equipment safely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment.
• Welding Skills: Proven experience with metal welding processes (MIG welding is typically standard, but specify if you need TIG or Stick). Ability to pass a basic shop weld test.
• Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using hand and power tools, including angle grinders, band saws, drill presses, and measuring tapes.
• Blueprint Reading: Basic ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication blueprints is a strong plus.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50/75 lbs consistently, stand for long periods, and work in a typical shop environment (dust, noise, fluctuating temperatures).
• Attributes: Strong work ethic, punctuality, attention to detail, and a team-player attitude.
