At Glazers Beer & Beverage we provide a wide range of competitive benefits:Hybrid working scheduleMedical dental and vision insurance401k matchingLife InsuranceEmployer-Paid DisabilityFlexible spending accountsPaid time offTuition reimbursementPaid Maternity Leave and Paid Parental LeaveWe are looking for a GL Manager to join our this role you will manage an accounting staff prepare and analyze journal entries perform month and year-end closings prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and support warehouse role reports to the Assistant Controller and will provide support to Accounting/Finance team management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the daily operations of the General Ledger departmentAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracyPerform month/year-end financial analysis of actual results against budget/forecast and have an understanding of business conditions to ensure financial statements are reported in accordance with GAAPPrepares and records asset liability revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account informationComplete complex balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysisSummarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet profit and loss and other statementsCoordinates more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departmentsDemonstrate an understanding of various accounting processes and identify root causes/areas for improvementResearch technical accounting issues and be able to work with management on solutionsPerform other job-related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting or at least 5-10 years experience in financePreferred QualificationsCPA certificate4 years experience in an accounting environmentStrong organizational skills with ability to balance multiple prioritiesExcellent communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracySelf-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates ownership until work is completedProficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially ExcelPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g. keyboard mouse and monitor) or adding machinePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking bending reaching standing and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering pushing carrying or pulling up to 15lbsGlazers Beer and Beverage provides equal employment opportunities toapplicants and employees without regard to race color religion sex sexualorientation gender identity national origin protected veteran status or disability. note that job application deadlines will vary by position.
