General Maintenance Technician Facilities Services 1 at Brazos County

DescriptionGeneral Summary:This position performs basic maintenance duties and assist maintenance technicians on more difficult or technical duties to maintain county facilities.Essential Duties:Assist plumbing HVAC electrical painting carpentry and jail technicians as needed to perform general maintenance for all county buildings;Change light bulbs ceiling tiles hanging pictures plaques and wall boards in county offices and buildings;Confers with supervisor concerning construction alteration maintenance and repair projects.Other duties as assigned.SupervisionReceived:From DirectorGiven:This is a non-supervisory positionEducationRequired:High school graduation or its equivalent plus at least one year of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.Preferred:ExperienceRequired:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
