General Maintenance Worker at Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services

Position SummaryThe General Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities equipment and grounds. This role supports maintenance electrical plumbing and structural tasks following company safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist electricians in replacing electrical receptacles wires switches fixtures and motors.Replace belts and filters on air handling units.Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound.Perform general plumbing repairs including replacing sinks water coolers and toilets.Paint structures equipment and interior areas as required.Inspect and repair concrete floors steps sidewalks and other building/road surfaces.Inspect and repair minor flooring and roofing issues.Inspect and repair damaged interior surfaces and infrastructure as needed.Install doors locks and replace cipher locks.Perform general maintenance on assigned equipment and machinery.Maintain and clean mechanical rooms and work areas.Follow all company safety health and accident prevention policies.Complete required documentation and records in a timely manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications : QualificationsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Requirements include:Valid drivers license.Ability to pass a background check and obtain/maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and comprehend basic instructions correspondence and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with team members and clients.Basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply divide using whole numbers fractions and decimals).Ability to compute rates ratios and percentages and interpret simple charts or graphs.Strong common-sense reasoning and problem-solving ability in standardized situations.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand walk use hands reach climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl.Must be able to work in standing or squatting positions for 8 hours per day.Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed.Must be able to talk and hear clearly to communicate and respond to safety concerns.Additional Information : AAP/EEO Statement:Hourly Wage: $26.17 an hourForefront Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion gender national origin disability status protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.Remote Work : NoEmployment Type : Full-time Key Skills Computer,Freelance,ICWA,General Maintenance,Fire Fighting Experience: years Vacancy: 1
