Position Title:General ManagerAppointment Type:ContractJob Description:The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking a General Manager to oversee the operational administrative NIL and roster management functions acting as a bridge between coaching staff athletic administration and external stakeholders This position will assist the Head Football Coachwith all phases of the NCAA Division I program to help build on our culture of competitive success in competition and in the classroom.Examples of what youll doDevelop long-term strategies for program competitivenessAllocate resources effectively across recruiting player development and staff supportManage complex budgets travel scheduling and operational logistics for the football programServe as the architect of roster construction balancing scholarships transfers and walk-onsOversee recruiting visits evaluations and communications with prospectFacilitate revenue sharing and NIL opportunities while ensuring compliance with regulationsAct as liaison between athletes agents and university compliance officesCollaborate with coaches to identify talent pipelines and manage recruiting databasesAdhere to University Conference and NCAA policies procedures and regulationsEstablish and maintain effective interactions with the students colleagues university community alumni media and the publicThis position requires a high level of football operations knowledge excellent work ethic along with exceptional planning and communication skills. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Requires the ability to travel including overnight stays competitions.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree.Experience in athletic administration recruiting or football operations at a highly competitive level.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with roster construction and NIL (Name Image Likeness) management at a NCAA D1 program.Successful NCAADI and/or professional football coaching or playing experience.Experience managing complex budgets.Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit highly skilled studentathletes and have strong recruiting connections.About ISU Athletics:As an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision athletics program and a founding member of the Big 12 Conference Iowa State University sponsors 18 intercollegiate athletics teams and supports 450 student-athletes in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
